Siyapatha Finance PLC aids education and road safety in Chilaw

With great importance placed on their corporate social responsibility initiatives, Siyapatha Finance has initiated new CSR campaigns aiming to assist schools and police stations across the country.

Embarking ahead, Siyapatha Finance focused on St. Rogus Primary School, Ambakandawila, Chilaw consisting of approximately 700 students with minimal infrastructure facilities. Siyapatha Finance was able to improve part of their infrastructure through the installation of an Internal Communication (PA) System and the brand new school name board. It was anticipated that the new infrastructure would be a motivating factor for the students.

The Managing Director of Siyapatha Finance, Mr. Ananda Seneviratne expressed his views on this endeavour – “The pandemic has severely  impacted the children of our country. We embarked on this project to create a motivational education background for these children who have been at the receiving end of many an affliction. These young minds deserve the best facilities and as such we invested in the development of infrastructure for their school to further motivate learning,” he said.

The second CSR campaign for Chilaw focused on road safety of the residents of Chilaw through the donation of a consignment of road sign boards that were handed over to the Chilaw Police Station. With the escalating number of motor and traffic accidents, the tireless efforts of the police force to maintain discipline are both life-saving and time-saving. Hence, Siyapatha Finance engaged in an initiative towards the promotion of road safety awareness amongst the residents of Chilaw. Mr. Seneviratne said “We strive to support the development and protection of the society and this donation was aimed at contributing towards the safety of the general public in Chilaw”.

As an organization that always places its customers at the forefront of its interest, Siyapatha Finance continues to engage in CSR projects that benefit the larger spectrums of society.
