Webinar on Opportunities for joint collaborations with Poland

The Ceylon Chamber of Commerce in association with the Hony. Consulate of Poland in Sri Lanka, Embassy of Poland in India and the Polish Chamber of Commerce will be organising a Webinar on “Poland – Current Economy, Business Environment and Opportunities for Join Collaborations” on 18th March 2021 at 3.00 p.m.

The main objective of the Webinar is to facilitate local companies to further strengthen their linkages with Poland and to identify potential areas for joint collaborations. Panel of Resource persons includes His Excellency Adam Burakowski, Ambassador for Poland to Sri Lanka, Mr. Krishan Balendra, Hon. Consul General for Poland in Sri Lanka, Mr. Tomasz Janczak, Second Secretary, Agriculture Affairs, Political – Economic Section, Embassy of Poland in India, and Mr.  Jerzy Drożdż, Director of the Foreign Relations Department, Polish Chamber of Commerce.

Poland, officially the Republic of Poland, is a country located in Central Europe. Poland continues to be one of the safest countries in Europe. With a population of about 38 million and GDP per capita of US$13,800 (2017), Poland has the largest economy in Central Europe. Since joining the EU in 2004, the country’s ambitions have been marked by the desire to rapidly catch up with the core of the EU in terms of economic growth and living standards.Poland is classified as a high-income economy by the World Bank and ranks 22nd worldwide in terms of GDP as well as 40th in the 2020 Ease of Doing Business Index.
